This debut hybrid memoir traces one woman’s journey from Ethiopia to Canada, through patriarchy and discrimination, to reclaiming the power patriarchy stole. Part personal narrative, part evidence-based research — raw, honest, and grounded in data.
Every book purchased supports the Adanech Library, a library planned for a school in Shelela, Southern Ethiopia, named after the author’s mother, who started the school.
